20 Minute Home Workout

Here is my 20 minute workout which you can do at home with no equipment so no excuses whilst you're away from the gym this christmas - see video for exercise demonstration. This workout was inspired by the song 12-days of Christmas and works as follows:

There are 12 rounds in total and for each round you add an exercise until you get to the final round of 12 exercises. I've filmed Simon (video) doing the last round so that you can see how the exercises should be done. Simon owns the personal training studio I work from, Local Motion, which is above Planet Organic on Garratt Lane, Wandsworth, London. Try not to rest between rounds. Any questions let me know.

1 x walkout
2 x lunges
3 x burpees
4 x side lunges
5 x plié squats
6 x single leg glute bridges
7 x press ups
8 x squat jumps
9 x grasshoppers
10 x dips
11 x sit ups
12 x jumping jacks

How to start...

Round 1 -
1 x walkout

Round 2 -
2 x lunges
1 x walkout

Round 3 -
3 x burpees
2 x lunges
1 x walkout

Round 4 -
4 x side lunges
3 x burpees
2 x lunges
1 x walkout

Round 5 -
5 x plié squats
4 x side lunges
3 x burpees
2 x lunges
1 x walkout

Round 6 -
6 x single leg glute bridges
5 x plié squats
4 x side lunges
3 x burpees
2 x lunges
1 x walkout

Keep adding on the exercises (for rounds 7, 8, 9, 10, 11) until the final round (as shown in video here):

Round 12 -
12 x jumping jacks
11 x sit ups
10 x dips
9 x grasshoppers
8 x squat jumps
7 x press ups
6 x single leg glute bridges
5 x plié squats
4 x side lunges
3 x burpees
2 x lunges
1 x walkout
